About me, LoLo.
Geophysicist by training; geologist at heart; Linux engineer by profession; artist and photographer by hobby; runner to the core! I am propelled by a pursuit of understanding systems and identifying biases that alter our perception of truth.
My curiosity is boundless, and I consider myself a radical dreamer… so how better to channel my passion for the universe of things than to take a structured approach to my myriad interests?
Here is to my era of organized curiosity through entertaining educational content creation!
My Mission
QUICK! WHAT AM I DOING HERE?!?!
1) I, LoLo, explore various science-related personal curiosities.
2) I create quick-to-digest content that encapsulates some takeaway points/facts.
3) YOU see this content, laugh, experience a dose of awe and wonder, and engage with me on the experience.
Success = (I focus my creativity and curiosity) + (We both laugh a little, learn a lot, and feel good about the time spent doing it)
FAQ
When do you post new content?
I just recently began setting up my online presence… which takes a few. Once everything is up & running and linked, I will drop some initial content, and will then publish my ‘curiosity roadmap’ with my plans!
Is there an email list?
There will be! But not any sort of spammy annoying email list!! BIG pet peeve! Rather, I hope to create a monthly email that contains the stuff that YOU choose to enroll in it for. TBD
How can I support you?
Simply engaging with my content is an oxidizer, where I take the universe of things as fuel and light it with some creative sparks. Subscribing to my various outlets, commenting, and sharing your time & thoughts is tops! Otherwise, if we share similar tastes and you buy from my affiliate links, that is pretty cool! I will eventually see if there is any mutual benefit to exploring Patreon, and I have a shop with original merch in the works!
Why are you doing this?!?!
After a lifetime of nerding here and geeking there, I realized that focusing my unrelenting universal curiosities would bring SO much value to my life. Learning by teaching lets me bask in scientific wonder with a community of other curious people; pretty great! The dream is to make THIS my day job.
Why so many exclamation marks?
Yes… I use an objectively higher-than-average number of exclamation marks in my writing… Perhaps you can relate, but if you are confused or concerned, just know that each exclamation mark is +10 Catharsis Points, and I am going for a high score. 😉
I noticed something incorrect on your site, what do I do?
Mistakes are a part of the process and should be welcomed! If you see anything from a typo, to an inaccurate statement, let me know either in a post comment, or by sending me feedback via my contact form.
